The Democratic Governance Support Programme (DGSP)

Status of Public Education

Few respondents are aware of public education on the funds, with just 21.2% stating they are aware of the funds and how to apply for assistance. The vast majority, 68.2%, are not aware of public education on decentralised funds.

Of those respondents who indicated that there is public education, the majority (about 70%) feel that this education is satisfactory. This is a positive finding for those involved in pubic education, though clearly a lot of work remains to be done on public education on the funds.
